The creative genius of Ahrend Walters is shown in his poems about life that he dedicates to his belief in Jesus Christ as the only perfect one. Ahrend Walters believes he is a creative genius. Yet he freely admits he is flawed. He believes all creative geniuses are flawed because no matter how talented they are they cannot reach perfection. Only through Jesus Christ can creativity reach true perfection.
A poet speaks with his heart and not just his head. Throughout history there have been many poets who’ve tapped into the spiritual world and revealed their insight of God as they understand God. Ahrend Walters is still a very young man but he possesses the heart and soul of a mystic poet. His words are often complex and paradoxical. Sometimes his rhyme schemes are even contradictory. This should not discourage you from his writing. He’s inviting you into the mystery. He’s on a mission to tell the world how his love of, and confidence in, Jesus Christ fuels his creativity.

The author has been diagnosed as Bipolar. The very nature of his disease drives him to share with others that it is possible for genius to be a byproduct of an affliction, such as his bipolar disease. He believes that much of his creativity is a result of the way he views life and beauty and that is most definitely influenced by his mental state and moods. Admittedly this can be a controversial thing to state and hard to defend. However, Ahrend’s experience is that God has shown him that no matter what afflictions he may have they can find their real purpose and expression through faith in Christ.
His road to faith has been a journey and one he willingly shares with others. He is not one to blindly accept what others teach and has done the hard work of soul-searching as well as intellectual study. His eventual personal discovery that Jesus Christ is the answer to all things helps him come to terms with the apparent contradictions in life and in his gifts.
Ahrend Walters is in his early twenties, but he is already a prolific writer. To date he has published five volumes of original poetry.
